Kraftin' Kimmie - Challenge #66 A Super Sketch and TLC's Toddlers & Tiaras

Well thank goodness for Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenges; if I didn't make the goal of trying to do one of her challenges each week for the next two months, I may never have blogged. I have to admit I do like blogging but I would rather be crafting then blogging. Today I finished three Birthday cards and I need to do one more Valentine's card. My parents live four hours away and we haven't seen them since Christmas, so we are going down to visit this weekend - Brewer will want to give them a Valentine's card.

I made this card for Kimmie's challenge, I'm going to give it to my little brother who turned 28. I did it late last night, without my glasses on. I looked at the card this morning and it turns out I really need to wear my glasses.

I have to admit I have been watching the most silliest show ever TLC's Toddlers & Tiaras. Yes, I know most people do not like this show but I can't help myself (just like Jersey Shore). I realize that my choice in TV might be wearing off on my son when I asked him to pose for the camera he did this.....

So I've decided that if I'm going to watch the show, I'll watch it when the little guy isn't around. My husband says it isn't normal for a little boy to go running around posing for the camera, especially like that. I thought it was cute but no I'm not going to put him into pageants :)

Well, I have to finish my Valentine's card for my parents and get packing for our trip, hope everyone has a great weekend!

Crazy, Superwoman or Normal - Plus Kraftin' Kimmie - Challenge #65 A Recipe

Well, I sometimes think I'm crazy. I have very high expectations for myself and those around me. I also have many goals - a little too many, possibly? Yesterday would be a good example: Laundry, Dishes, clean toy room, craft time with Brewer, make valentine's cards with Brewer (different then craft time), make some of my own cards, bath boys, call two friends to see how they are doing, do Valentine's Day Blog Hop, check e-mails, cook dinner, call Grandparents & Great Grandparents and wish Happy Valentine's Day, go grocery shopping, read bedtime story to Brewer, help Matt get out the door for baseball and sit down to watch TV with a cup of Tea. Did I mention I wanted to do all of this with two kids under the age of two?

I almost succeeded but not quite; at one point I was doing laundry, making lunch, talking to a friend on the phone, putting the baby to sleep and carrying Brewer around on my hip, playing stickers with him and I realized I'm really tired - lol. Most people would tell me you probably took on to much but today I planned just as much or more. So am I crazy, superwoman or just a normal wife and mother. Depends who you ask but I would just say a normal wife and mother and on occasion crazy.

Well, I changed my mind on what card to give to my husband. I made this one for him and I followed Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #65 Recipe. Very simple and I used a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp - Mistletoe Miles and Maisie but I took out the mistletoe. Everything else is miscellaneous items I had laying around.

THREE main colours: Check - Blue, Grey & Pink
TWO patterned papers: Check - Blue and Pink
ONE ribbon: Check - one that is blue/grey
ONE button: Check - cute little pink one

You may notice that the card is a little bent, my son got a little excited giving it to Daddy and bent it a little. Most people may have gotten annoyed by this but I was happy. I'm turning him into a craft Diva and he loves it (his father maybe not as much).

Well, hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!

2010

Well, I can definitely say I was a very bad blogger for 2010. I had all intentions of keeping up with my blogging but going back to work, getting pregnant again, going on bed rest and then having a baby all before the end of 2010 has kept me busy.

My husband and I had no doubts we wanted a second child about half way through my maternity leave for my first child. So we started trying right away and we got lucky. I started back to work in May (pregnant), by October my little one who was due in December thought it was time to come out. So we were able to stop the early arrival but this meant I was on bed rest until the due date. First week of December a healthy little boy named Corbin arrived. Big brother Brewer loves his little brother and can't stop kissing and hugging him. Of course with only 19 1/2 months between them trying to explain to Brewer he has to be gentle can be a challenge.

I have done lots of projects during 2010, I just haven't blogged about them. So my goal for February is to post pictures of these projects and to post at least one picture of my of my Valentines Cards. If I post this publicly I feel as though I will meet this challenge more.

It looks like 2011 is going to be busy and I'm looking forward to it. I'll leave you with a couple of pictures of the boys from 2010 and our start of 2011.
